My journey into marketing began in 2003 at Louisiana Tech University. It was there that I began to truly develop my marketing skills, but my passion for advertising and understanding consumer behavior came much earlier. Growing up, I was constantly looking at ads and trying to figure out what made them effective. I would collect ads from magazines and study them, trying to discern the strategies that made them so successful. This childhood obsession turned out to be the perfect foundation for my career in marketing.

Throughout my career, I have worked with both national brands and small-to-medium businesses. I have developed multi-market strategies that drive revenue, and I have honed my skills in retention and digital marketing, two areas that have become increasingly important in recent years. I believe that true success in marketing comes from forming real connections with clients and prospects. It’s not just about selling a product or service; it’s about understanding what customers want and need, and figuring out how to meet those needs.
One thing that has helped me succeed in marketing is my ability to think outside of the box. I’m always looking for new and innovative ways to attract customers and drive sales. Whether it’s developing new retention programs, crafting social media campaigns, or creating targeted email marketing, I’m always thinking about the next big thing in marketing. This willingness to take risks and try new things has helped me stay ahead of the curve in an ever-evolving field.
In addition to my passion for marketing, I also have a few quirky hobbies. I’m a big fan of bonsai trees and spend a lot of my free time fussing over them and making sure they’re healthy and happy. I’m also an avid scuba diver and have explored some of the world’s most beautiful underwater environments. And perhaps most surprisingly, I have been voted the top graphic designer within the SBC for 5 years and running. These hobbies may seem unrelated to my career in marketing, but they have actually helped me develop important skills such as attention to detail, creativity, and a willingness to take risks.
Marketing is a field that requires a unique combination of creativity, analytical thinking, and a deep understanding of human behavior. My childhood obsession with understanding advertising and consumer behavior set the foundation for my career in marketing, and I have spent the last 20 years honing my skills and developing new strategies for driving revenue and growth for businesses. I believe that true success in marketing comes from forming real connections with clients and prospects, and being willing to take risks and try new things in order to stay ahead of the curve. Whether it’s exploring the ocean depths or fussing over bonsai trees, my hobbies have taught me important skills that I bring to my career every day. I’m excited to see where the future of marketing takes me, and I’m grateful to have found a profession I’m truly passionate about.
